A Family Adventure

We took off for a couple of days with the kids. On Sunday, we met my college roommate Amy in Terre Haute, Indiana, for lunch. It was a short visit, but it was good to see her. She drove an hour to meet up with us for Mexican with her mom and kids. Need to just spend a day chatting with her! Then we went off to Shane's friend Greg's to buy an enclosed trailer. We already own two other trailers, but what's one more? This one will allow us to haul all the wheelers we need when camping. Next stop, French Lick, Indiana. We stayed at Valley of the Springs hotel. It includes Big Splash Adventure. Both of our boys LOVE the water and our local(ish) Knight's Action Park. Case is FEARLESS! He jumps right in. Wade loves water time too. I didn't take my camera down to the water park part, so no pictures. I am also trying to leave the camera behind and enjoy my boys. On Sunday night we spent about 2 hours following the boys around the water park. They both had a blast. Case would have tried the big slides, but he is not tall enough. Monday morning we took off for Marengo Cave about 45 minutes away. We went on an hour long tour of the Dripstone Trail. It was a cool 52 degrees underground. At one point we were 200 feet below ground. Both boys did a good job walking. It was PITCH black at one time...Case did get a little freaked then. You cannot see your hand in front of your face.
After returning to French Lick, we took the boys go cart racing/riding. They had some small enough for Case. He drove in circles for about 10 minutes. I am going to guess his motorcycle is more fun.
We could not race against Wade. He had to race in the junior division. There were four other kids who came in about the same time we did and raced with him. He said it was fun to try.
We followed that with more water time. Case did the same set of slides about 50 times. It was a good adventure. We were all glad to be back in our beds though. I slept about 10 hours and the boys about that long too.
